THOHT's core dictation — on‑device, on Apple Silicon — is free forever, with no usage caps. Pro adds the cloud and AI layer on top and lifts the free tier's demo caps on those optional features. One subscription covers all your Apple devices.

Free on-device dictation is never capped
On‑device dictation on Apple Silicon has no daily, weekly, or monthly limit on any tier — it doesn't go through our service, so there's nothing to meter. The free‑tier caps apply only to the optional cloud transcription and AI features. Full numbers are on Limits & quotas.
Price and free trial
THOHT Pro is $4.99 / month in the US, with a 7‑day free trial. Prices in other countries follow Apple's regional App Store pricing and are always shown in your local currency before you subscribe.
It's a single auto‑renewing monthly subscription. You can cancel any time during the trial and you won't be charged.
Universal Purchase
THOHT uses Apple's Universal Purchase, so one subscription covers both the Mac app and the iPhone app — there's nothing extra to buy. Subscribe on your Mac and Pro is unlocked on your iPhone too (and vice versa), as long as they share an Apple ID. (The iPhone app is currently in beta.)
Restoring purchases
If Pro doesn't show up on a device — after reinstalling, switching Macs, or subscribing elsewhere — use Restore Purchases (in the subscription/account area of settings). Make sure the device is signed in to the same Apple ID you subscribed with. THOHT re‑checks your subscription automatically when it comes to the foreground, too.
Managing your subscription
Your subscription is managed by Apple, not by THOHT:
- Mac: open the App Store, click your name, then Account Settings → Subscriptions.
- iPhone: open Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions.
From there you can change, pause, or cancel. Billing questions are handled by Apple; for anything else, reach out to us.
