What Pro adds, what it costs, and how one subscription covers Mac, iPhone, and iPad.

THOHT's core dictation on Apple silicon Macs is free, with no usage caps. Pro adds cloud transcription and AI features, and it powers normal dictation on Intel Macs, iPhone, and iPad. One subscription covers all three supported platforms.

Free on-device dictation is never capped
On‑device dictation on Apple Silicon has no daily, weekly, or monthly limit on any tier — it doesn't go through our service, so there's nothing to meter. Free users can try a small cloud and AI preview during onboarding; normal cloud transcription and AI actions require Pro. Pro cloud use still has per-minute, weekly, and recording-length safeguards. Availability by platform
A shared subscription does not mean every interface has the same controls. Pro unlocks each platform's supported feature set:

Price and free trial
THOHT Pro is $4.99 / month in the US, with a 7‑day free trial. Prices in other countries follow Apple's regional App Store pricing and are always shown in your local currency before you subscribe.
It's a single auto‑renewing monthly subscription. You can cancel any time during the trial and you won't be charged.
Accessibility program
THOHT is at its best for people who benefit from dictation. If a motor disability, chronic pain, RSI, low vision, a temporary injury — or anything else — makes typing difficult, painful, or impractical, we'll give you THOHT Pro for free.
Free Pro for accessibility
No verification paperwork and no medical details. A short request is enough, and we take it at face value.
How to apply: email info@thoht.app and say you'd like to use the accessibility program. Please do not send medical records, disability IDs, benefits documents, or details about a diagnosis.
What you get: a free Pro license valid for 12 months, with hands‑free voice control ready to use. Reach out when it's about to expire and we'll send a fresh one — no re-application paperwork.
Universal Purchase
THOHT uses Apple's cross-platform purchase system, so the same thoht.pro.monthly entitlement unlocks Mac, iPhone, and iPad. Subscribe on one supported device and Pro is recognised on the others when they use the same Apple Account. No separate mobile subscription is required.
Restoring purchases
If Pro doesn't show up on a device — after reinstalling, switching Macs, or subscribing elsewhere — use Restore Purchases in the subscription area. Make sure the device is signed in to the same Apple Account you subscribed with. THOHT re-checks your subscription when it returns to the foreground, too.
Managing your subscription
Your subscription is managed by Apple, not by THOHT:
- Mac: open the App Store, click your name, then Account Settings → Subscriptions.
- iPhone: open Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions.
From there you can change, pause, or cancel. Billing questions are handled by Apple; for anything else, reach out to us.
